I am a member of the Society for Creative Anachronisms (S.C.A., Inc.). An anachronism is something out of its proper time. The S.C.A. is a world-wide, non-profit educational organization whose purpose is the recreate the Middle Ages (600 A.D. to 1600 A.D.).

Within our Society, in pursuit of the Dream, I have developed several personaes as my interests and commitment have changed:

• Katla járnkona (my current and, likely, final persona)
  
• Symmonne Deccarrete de Villette (my second persona, late period French)
  
• Darbie of Ironmaid (my initial persona, early-to-mid period general Britain mutt)
  

As you might guess, whichever persona I may be presenting to the Dream, I am interested in blackwork embroidery, costuming and heraldry.
